Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will offer several new features over the game's premiere release. Unfortunately, it is obvious that PC players will only get paid DLC with the new hero, without support for ray tracing and new modes.
The announcement of the Devil May Cry 5 special edition on the next generation consoles did not surprise or disturb fans of the series. On the contrary, the new mode and difficulty level, as well as the DLC with Virgil, is almost everything that fans of the series hoped for. Unfortunately, they've been tainted with information provided by user Pat Stares. Streamer has learned from Capcom that the PC edition will receive the aforementioned expansion only as a paid add-on: Turbo and Dark Knight modes with ray tracing support will only appear on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles. PS4 and XONE will not be included in the news either.
The information has clearly cooled the enthusiasm of the fans. The lack of ray tracing and Turbo mode on 8th gen consoles is obvious, but dropping the higher difficulty level for releases on those platforms might come as a surprise. It's even harder to justify their absence on PCs, which shouldn't have a problem with any of these add-ons. However, we would like to point out that we still have not received an official announcement from Capcom in this regard. Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition will debut November 10 on Xbox Series X and November 19 on PlayStation 5.
